Intro
Current Date & Time:
Hi, I'm Tracy and this website is my second project for ITWP 1000. I've customized the template and added my own words and scripts to reflect who I am and what I've learned. One of the goals was to make the site dynamic, and that's why I added a live JavaScript clock.
This site also represents my growing interest in cybersecurity. I'm passionate about safety, ethical hacking, and helping others protect their information online. You'll learn more about what I'm studying and why it's important on the next pages.
Work
Here are a few highlights of the work I've done. I’ve completed hands-on labs in Linux command-line tools, configured basic firewalls, and set up simple websites like this one using HTML and CSS. One of my favorite labs was working with wildcard characters and redirects in Bash. It gave me a clearer understanding of how operating systems communicate at a low level.
I also interviewed a real network facilitator, Erin Zimmer, who shared great insights on career paths and tools professionals use daily. Talking to her helped me connect the dots between classroom work and real-life IT jobs. That experience strengthened my decision to pursue cybersecurity and network administration.
About
I’m currently finishing my IT associate degree and plan to earn it by the time I turn 19. I enjoy learning about how things work, especially in the digital world. My future goals include becoming a network administrator and earning certifications like CompTIA Security+ and Cisco CCNA. I'm also interested in ethical hacking and possibly pursuing a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity.
Outside of tech, I enjoy gaming, music, and hanging out with my girlfriend. I try to bring creativity into every project I do, including this one. I hope you enjoyed exploring my site, and maybe even learned a little about me in the process!
